Dr Bhavananthan is committed to ensuring that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by our Practice. We routinely ask for, and act on, the views of our registered patients. This includes involving our patients in decisions that lead to changes to the services we provide, either directly or in our capacity as gatekeeper to other services.
The Patient Participation Group, PPG, was formed in March 2003 and the members show great enthusiasm for Practice activities whilst making valuable contributions to the development of services within the Practice.
The PPG is growing in strength, with new members joining and they represent a broard spectrum of the local patient population. They represent patients with long term health conditions, parents, pensioners, widows and a local nursing home.
The Representatives are also invited to attend Consortium meetings with other Practices, who discusses wider issues involving the patient population and services in this area. We have been thankful for their ongoing support to the Practice.
We engage patients and seek views from wider groups of Practice patients through regular local Practice surveys. The outcomes of the surveys and the views of our patients are routinely published on this website.
The PPG meet on a regular basis and the Surgery is committed to the continuous improvement of its services and understands and values the input from patients through the Group.
If you would like to be part of our PPG then do contact the Surgery who will pass on your details to the members, who will contact you with further details.
